My husband Evan and I have four young kids and live in Bountiful, Utah. We bought our first house almost 9 years ago, it was an ultimate fixer upper. My husband is an architect and handyman, together we transformed our house into a place we love to be. We know how hard it can be to enter the market when buying your first house. It can seem impossible even. When we bought our house, we could barely afford the monthly payment, but we look back now at all the equity we have and can't believe where we would be right now if we hadn't jumped in when we did.
