About Babs De Lay

I have been a licensed full time REALTOR since 1984. I have several university degrees in Behavioral Sciences, English and Business Communications as well as a Ph.D in religion and a minor in art. I've always had a passion for learning and have for the past 30 years sought out all the classes offered to me and received the industry-specific designations such as CRS, ABR, SRES, LTG and the rare DREI. That means nothing to folks outside the industry but it turned into me becoming a nationally recognized instructor for the National Association of REALTORS and receiving the Distinguished Real Estate Educator designation. I've taught REALTORS how to be REALTORS and served 5 years as a Director with the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS, 1 year as President of the Women's Council of REALTORS and 8 years as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner for Salt Lake City.
   I also give back to my community as much as possible. I hosted a women in music radio program on public radio for 27 years on thursday mornings, and am on the advisory board of the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Violence, served as past president of the Rape Recovery Center and was in the original Broadway production of the Vagina Monologues. I've also served as president of the Westminster College Alumni Assn. and chosen as outstanding Alumnus of the Year and have been recognized as the outstanding Woman in Business by the YWCA.
   I have twin daughters and four grandchildren.
