Heather Smith is a REALTOR® who combines her love for the industry with her strong passion for education, creating fun events, and helping others. She truly believes life is an adventure!
Before getting into the real estate business in 2006, Heather previously was a "mild mannered" librarian at a private school in Layton as well as a kitchen and bath designer for many years. One of her favorite design claims to fame is winning the kitchen design award in the Utah Valley Parade of Homes. Heather is a Utah State University Aggie with a degree in Human Resource Management.
In 1995, after experiencing a seizure, Heather was found to have a brain tumor and went to battle against cancer. After 2 brain surgeries (and the many prayers and generous help of many friends), she is grateful and excited to say she is still cancer free! Since then, she has spoken at women's retreats and been called on by cancer groups and families to help others fighting through similar experiences to win the day. Because of this life event, she works hard to live life fully and serves on the Board of Trustees for TLOWM Orphanages in Sierra Leone to continue helping families and children in every way possible over there.
As an active Realtor® and Agent Mentor, Heather leads her agents and representing buyers and sellers daily. She considers education both of clients and agents an important part of her role as a Realtor® and mentor. She has been the guest speaker on webinars, taught in multiple states, and certified as a Real Estate Negotiation Expert, Military Realty Profession, and Senior Real Estate SPecialist.
Heather is active within her real estate community as well. (She's not very good at doing nothing!) A planner and go-getter for the real estate industry, Heather has served on the Military Task Force for Northern Utah, Utah State Grievance Committee, and Womens Council of Realtors.
A lover of all things Marvel, Chocolate, and Rocky Mountains, Heather lives in Riverdale, Utah, with her husband James, a couple cats who wish to remain anonymous, and her white German Shepherd, Apollo. She gets crazy excited over photography, travel adventures, action hero movies, and FanX - she'll tell you all about meeting Captain America and Bucky if you ask.
