Diana's background in business gives her an edge in property analysis, contract execution, and real estate negotiations. She was educated at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a degree in finance with a certificate in international business.  From 2007 to 2012, Diana operated as the broker on site at the Canyon Creek development which consists of 312 whole ownership condominiums. Diana then joined Summit Sotheby's International Realty in 2012 to expand to the broader market and take advantage of the company’s immense support. Additionally, with two parents who were psychology majors plus decades of real estate experience, Diana has fine tuned her ability to read people, calm tensions, find solutions and navigate to the finish line.

Combining her passion for travel with her studies, Diana circumnavigated the globe over the course of 100 days, experiencing and studying cultures from the far reaches of the earth, while furthering her education with the Semester at Sea program--a floating college campus. She continued her travels after college as well and is thankful to have seen so much of the world.

In 2012, Diana married a Dutch native, Jelmer van der Meer. The couple enjoys spending time with their two sons and exploring the outdoors. While her days of running and skiing may be behind her, camping and hiking are still favorite activities. Additionally, exploring the world of gardening has been Diana’s most recent hobby, one that her sons can learn alongside her while enjoying the benefit and wonder of fresh raspberries, vegetables and herbs as well as vibrant flowers and fresh bouquets throughout the summer. Diana and the boys have also taken up rockhounding as another favorite warm weather passtime.

Diana revels in her passion for interior design, always looking for new ideas and exquisite architecture. She has put her countless hours of self-directed design study to use by remodeling properties to maximize their potential. These efforts have given her an appreciation of the details and work involved in home construction and renovation.

Diana supports both local and international causes by donating time and funds to various interests, including: Sotheby’s Cares, Stand with Ukraine, Friends of Animals, the Swaner EcoCenter, Mountainlands Community Housing, the Peace House, the Homeless Youth Resource Center, the Red Cross, and UW-Madison. Additionally, Diana provided the family who hosted her in Kenya with financial support to continue their children's education.
