Ronn Marshall grew up in the small farming community of Minnersville, Utah. Working on the family farm he learned the value of hard work and a deep respect for land and its value.After graduating from Utah State University with a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Economics he returned home for several years to help on the family farm while singing and performing in a band. Ronn has over 47 years of experience in real estate. He began his career January 2nd 1977 at Maple Hills Realty. He became Sales Manager in 1979 and in 1981 he became the Broker and owner of Maple Hills Realty. During this time he continued his education at the University of Utah with courses in marketing, finance, business and real estate law, with an emphasis on how to value a stream of cash flow and various kinds of real estateHis early education in the real estate industry was very in depth, not only in selling real estate but in developing it as well. The Maple Hills project had its financial issues during the Savings and Loan Crisis and Ronn was involved in assisting with their loans and their debt. This was an early introduction into debt management and finance.The economy was difficult in the late 1970’s and the project had issues with debt. Ronn sold the project in 1981 and took ownership of Maple Hills Realty. The challenges that faced the real estate market and realtors were immense in the 1980’s but Ronn developed many banking relationships and represented many lenders in assisting them to manage and sell their properties they took because of bad loans and foreclosures.After the 1980’s the economy and the real estate market picked up and Ronn put together a team of agents. The next several years Maple Hills had a very powerful team and a strong presence in the Davis County area. In the early 1990s Ronn began to develop different parcels of land. The first project was in Fruits Heights, the next was Stone Ridge, followed by Sunset Hollow. Then he designed the Country Springs condominium project in Bountiful. The next was Franklin Farms, followed by Summerwood and Hidden Lakes, as well as Layton Ridges.
